The tourist industry has been passion and my livelihood since my student days. I was born in Glasgow and have Italian/Scottish nationality. My Grandparents originate from Northern Italy, Friuli near Venice

I have travelled widely for personal and business reasons, spending a number of years in Australia. However Italy always called me home and I now live in Le Marche, still largely unspoilt and one of the least visited, but without doubt one of the most beautiful regions of Italy.

Architecture is my great love so where better to be

Carole is a history graduate and passionate about her subject. She is British, speaks French, German and Italian and has an extensive knowledge of Europe. She has a particular interest in antiques, photography, and gastronomy (she is a regular contributor to the Gault Millau Best of London guide book) and counts herself as a bit of a shopping expert, be it London, Paris or Florence! She is a London Tourist Board "Blue Badge" guide.
